Party Food Serving Guide

Here's a party food serving guide to help get you through all types of special occasions...

From entertaining your whole family, or hosting a Super Bowl party, to planning something a little more extravagant such as an elegant dinner party - now you have the Cater-Hater party food serving guide that will help you to buy the correct amount of food to serve, per person, when you go shopping for your party.

Cater-Hater Tips:

  • When you decide to order deli party platters from your local delicatessen, especially during peak party seasons (Super Bowl, major holidays - particularly, Thanksgiving and Christmas, and New Year's), be sure to place your order more than 24 to 48 hours in advance. Obviously, ordering food for your party at the last minute won't do. You need to know that everything will go off without a hitch. Plan accordingly.
  • Measurements can vary from deli to deli, and restaurant to restaurant. Keep in mind, most platters listed as "Medium" will actually serve 12 to 16 guests.

If you're hosting more than 48 to 50 guests, of course double, triple, or quadruple the suggested amounts on this guide.

Now that you have the correct food amounts to serve, you've got one of the most difficult parts of party planning out of the way.

You're well on your way to hosting a fabulous party!

Dust off your favorite party music playlist and get in the mood by planning your party guest list -- readying things, to send out your invitations.

Enjoy yourself, take your time, stop back by Cater-Hater for answers to any questions you have... And, most importantly - have fun!
