Making color choices - really, don't wait until the last minute
Choose far enough in advance so that; if you're the type that has a hard time making a decision, you'll have time to change your mind. Don't wait until the last minute - a week to a day or two before your party. You'll drive yourself crazy.
Choose the perfect color that best represents... You!
Usually, the best thing to do is to choose colors that your normally drawn to. Doing this will help you to know how one color that you like can compliment another color - that you might not be as fond of.
Bring pictures of room colors and decor ideas that you like
When planning a party, there's more to it than figuring out what type of cuisine you want to serve. It's always a good idea to bring photos of what you like (including images off color shades) to show the salesperson at the rental company the exact shade of "honey brown" or "copper penny" that you like. There's nothing worse than someone trying to tell someone else about the color that they're looking for. A description of the color you're looking for pales in comparison showing someone an image of the color that you're looking for.
