If you think about it, concern for nature has changed the way we have parties - that is, to the degree that the host, party planner, or event planner is open to the idea of going green.
Technology has changed our lives too. Yesterday's science fiction has become today's reality. And most exciting, perhaps, is how much more personal parties have become while all of this has happened.
This green "thing" for parties is great. Smart chefs plan "green" menus, focusing on preparing cuisine made with food from their local regions. And the degree to how much this can help local small businesses (and farmers) is really fantastic.
The eco-friendly choices that are available to personalize wedding receptions and other types of special events are practically unlimited.
Do you incorporate "going green" at your parties? And if you do, in what creative ways do you promote being environmentally aware? If you're a party person like I am, you probably love creativity in all forms. But personally speaking, most of all, I'm inspired by art, design, and you.
Environment-conscious organic cotton party linens are the latest big hit.
This year think about expanding your choices, if you haven't already done so. If you create custom looks with fabric store fabric (like we sometimes do) or rent linens from your local party linen rental company, add organic cotton and other environmentally-aware fabrics to your party mix: organic wool, recycled wool and recycled polyester.
Whether you opt to use party rental linens or head to a Jo-Ann Fabrics store, help the environment by choosing Green fabrics for your party table linens.
For party table linen: Keep it Green. Keep it clean.
Maybe we should spread this message to the BP oil spill guys.

I'm an off-premise catering evangelist/outlaw. I'm a passionista. I'm a paradox. I love when a client hires me to oversee their entire event, from start to finish - because I'm an event planner too.
I'm proud to be mom to Petey Wheatstraw, "the devil's son-in-law" - the best damn Chihuahua North of Mexico. I grew up in Rochester, Michigan. I currently live deep in the heart of Texas. And boy, do I ever miss Xochimilco Super Nachos, the fragrance of Fall and fresh cider and donuts at Paint Creek Cider Mill, and eating a Detroit Lafayette Coney Island when the mood hits me.
It's cool of you to stop by. And you know what's even better? Finding out what you have to say! Hit me up with a comment. Hang with me on Twitter (three accounts, you choose; @TheCaterHater, @CarloAtYourServ, or @CarloAtYourSer2). Or, connect with me using the FB gadget or G+ button on the sidebar. For real, I'd be honored if you'd click on either one.
If you want to ask me anything or want to leave a comment, you know the drill; "Contact".
I like people. Especially, people who want the party truth. Talk to me.
