What's interesting about a meaningful party planning collaboration is the opportunity for synergy with your co-host(s), professional event planner, or professional party planner.
Collaboration takes some of the pressure for Utopian perfection off. And, if it's a good collaboration it should take away the stress of planning a party, allowing you some room to breathe.
Collaboration allows you to arrive at an end result that is greater than the sum of your party.
Party design - from celebrating a special occasion, to food and beverages, to the style of your party decor - should evoke a comfort-ability that shows off your personal expression of how you want to share your party with your guests.
Good parties symbolize a comfortable environment, flowing and free of status symbols that don't suit the host or the guests.
Some would say that a perfect party would dictate that a 16 year old or a sixty year old would feel welcomed, and both would enjoy your rendition of what a "perfect" party is - and hopefully that is one that radiates a radical kind of unforced elegance that appeals to everyone.

I'm an off-premise catering evangelist/outlaw. I'm a passionista. I'm a paradox. I love when a client hires me to oversee their entire event, from start to finish - because I'm an event planner too.
I'm proud to be mom to Petey Wheatstraw, "the devil's son-in-law" - the best damn Chihuahua North of Mexico. I grew up in Rochester, Michigan. I currently live deep in the heart of Texas. And boy, do I ever miss Xochimilco Super Nachos, the fragrance of Fall and fresh cider and donuts at Paint Creek Cider Mill, and eating a Detroit Lafayette Coney Island when the mood hits me.
It's cool of you to stop by. And you know what's even better? Finding out what you have to say! Hit me up with a comment. Hang with me on Twitter (three accounts, you choose; @TheCaterHater, @CarloAtYourServ, or @CarloAtYourSer2). Or, connect with me using the FB gadget or G+ button on the sidebar. For real, I'd be honored if you'd click on either one.
If you want to ask me anything or want to leave a comment, you know the drill; "Contact".
I like people. Especially, people who want the party truth. Talk to me.
