How to Throw the Summer Party of All Summer Parties

Prescription Julep

To throw the summer party of all summer parties you need: Good music, good food, and good cocktails. And remember, you can't have too much bug spray or too much ice. And don't forget to have a backup plan in case it rains.

Start with the Best Ice

  • Cubed - It melts and dilutes cocktails when used with drinks on the rocks - i.e., a good scotch that you don't want watered down.
  • Cracked - It gives you a 50/50 ratio balance of dilution and chilling your drink. It works best with shaken or stirred cocktails - martinis come to mind.
  • Crushed - It melts fast. But, it also cools a cocktail the fastest. Works perfectly with a cocktail like a mojito, which can use a little watering down.
