You're engaged! Now you'll countdown until your special day - like you see in the special day wedding photograph displayed to the left.
After you've chosen your wedding rings and dealt with the excitement of sharing the news of your wedding proposal and engagement with everyone, and you've had time to let everything sink in, unless you're planning to hire a wedding planner - you'll have to begin to hone in on your plans for your wedding ceremony and wedding reception.

Early on, you'll choose your bridal color(s) as you carefully go over a color list that examines each colors potential meanings. Being the bride, of course you'll want to spend as much time as possible shopping for the perfect wedding dress so you'll look your best on your wedding day. I'm hoping that you'll find the wedding gown that you've dreamed of. And of course you'd never look cheap. So I also hope that you'll find a bunch of wonderfully inexpensive gowns (cheap wedding dresses) to choose from, so if money is an issue - you'll find something with a fantastic price tag that will fit your requirements.
Your to-do list will probably be as full as your dance card on your wedding night!
Don't sweat it. I'm here to tell you... You can do this! How do I know? Well, for starters - you've logged onto the Internet - and you're doing the necessary research that proves that point. So you see, I'm right. You've conquered Step #1, which is to do good research.
And here's a simple Cater-Hater tip: In order to make sure you get everything just the way you want it, re-research your research.

You'll probably need an assistant, don't you think? Ask someone that you trust (someone level-headed and easy to get along with) to walk with you through the maze of planning your wedding.
When you think about the type of picture-perfect, beautiful wedding ceremony location and wedding reception site that you'll want, remember that it will have to accommodate your entire wedding party, and the number of guests you're planning to invite, accordingly. These two things are usually the first planning decision, followed by catering - which is often provided by the wedding facility.
If you're planning to hold your wedding reception at your wedding ceremony location, check to find out if they'll approve an outside catering company (off-premise caterer). The reception site usually has a list of preferred vendors (or in some cases, required vendors) to refer you to.
The next major vendor decisions are typically the photographer, florist, band and/or dee-jay and videographer. And these should be booked as soon as possible, after you book your facility because they often book a year in advance.
Once you lock your location and main vendors into place, secondary decisions need to be made; decisions about things such as: bridesmaid and groomsmen attire, bride and groom attire, your wedding reception room decor, wedding invitations, custom postage wedding stamps and wedding stationery, transportation, your wedding cake, wedding favors and gifts for your bridal party.
The time line to complete dealing with all of your vendors should be completed anywhere between 3 and 6 months in advance. And of course, this is all dependent on the specific wedding time line basics of your wedding plans.
Of course, costs vary greatly by region and from vendor to vendor. Start thinking about what wedding vendor questions you'll ask, and who should meet with wedding vendors with you. A good wedding cost estimator can help you figure your overall costs. And I've just given you the link (in the previous sentence that mentions it) for you to use to do so.
You'll want to take some time to put together your wedding vendor checklists. I advise you to check the Internet for reviews for wedding vendors. This will help you to have a forecast about whether their relationships with other brides-to-be were good or not.
As you progress through this, you'll be able to determine what should be in a wedding vendor contract, by your design - so to speak. Be sure to go over all of your wedding vendor contracts thoroughly, because your local wedding vendors contracts will most certainly be varied. After you've made your choices, you'll want to decide a gratuity (if any) and how much you'll want to tip the wedding vendors that went above and beyond the call-of-duty.
Now, I if you've done everything correctly - you're only real problem should be getting stressed out by others (who want to have too much input), by being put in the position to say... Help! My mother wants to come to all the wedding vendors with me!
