Giving is the New Taking

Giving is the new taking. Generosity is the new chic.

It's grown to be important for you as a consumer, be it a party industry consumer or otherwise, to remember this.

When if you decide to spend your hard earned money - do business with companies that truly care.

Look for companies launching programs where giving something free of charge is offered to people hit by economic conditions and are out of work. Or, look for companies offering discounts for people who are self-employed and in spite of everything, are still doing their best to make it.

Whether you're in need of help with planning a graduation party or whether you desire help with pulling off the wedding reception of your dreams - or anything else - if you're unemployed or a "worthy worker" - you deserve a break. Find companies that are willing to display their generous side.

Don't let them fool you. Due to the state of the economy,
you sit in the power seat. The playing field has been leveled because many businesses, just like you, are struggling to maintain and survive. So remember, how you choose to spend your money (or not) dictates much more than what the prognosticators will ever tell you.

Companies that think giving, think helping and think showing appreciation of you, are the only companies worthy of your time.

Now get out there, find yourself good companies that will help you - and get yourself a great deal.

I'm Carlo. And this is my party truth.

I'm an off-premise catering evangelist/outlaw. I'm a passionista. I'm a paradox. I love when a client hires me to oversee their entire event, from start to finish - because I'm an event planner too.

I'm proud to be mom to Petey Wheatstraw, "the devil's son-in-law" - the best damn Chihuahua North of Mexico. I grew up in Rochester, Michigan. I currently live deep in the heart of Texas. And boy, do I ever miss Xochimilco Super Nachos, the fragrance of Fall and fresh cider and donuts at Paint Creek Cider Mill, and eating a Detroit Lafayette Coney Island when the mood hits me.

It's cool of you to stop by. And you know what's even better? Finding out what you have to say! Hit me up with a comment. Hang with me on Twitter (three accounts, you choose; @TheCaterHater, @CarloAtYourServ, or @CarloAtYourSer2). Or, connect with me using the FB gadget or G+ button on the sidebar. For real, I'd be honored if you'd click on either one. If you want to ask me anything or want to leave a comment, you know the drill; "Contact".

I like people. Especially, people who want the party truth. Talk to me.
