What To Discuss With Your Catering Service Provider

When you meet with a caterer your first time, have your event strategy mentally mapped out. Or, even better - jot your ideas down beforehand.

You may not have all of your plans completely mapped out, but you'll get the ball rolling in the right direction if you've considered whether or not any of your guests have special dietary needs such as
food allergy, diabetic, low-carbohydrate, vegan, vegetarian, macrobiotic and raw food concerns - just for starters.

After you've honed in on your culinary options, you'll want to consider your
decor; color scheme, floral, room layout, and the like. And if you want things to be as hassle free as possible, you'll hire an event planner to do all of your "dirty work" whisking away your worries - making your live easier, planning a wedding reception or private party for you that might leave you pulling your hair out.

Oh, and don't be shy. Be sure to ask the caterer and event planner that you decide to hire about special offers and deals. Remember, if you don't ask ... they may not offer!

I'm Carlo. And this is my party truth.

I'm an off-premise catering evangelist/outlaw. I'm a passionista. I'm a paradox. I love when a client hires me to oversee their entire event, from start to finish - because I'm an event planner too.

I'm proud to be mom to Petey Wheatstraw, "the devil's son-in-law" - the best damn Chihuahua North of Mexico. I grew up in Rochester, Michigan. I currently live deep in the heart of Texas. And boy, do I ever miss Xochimilco Super Nachos, the fragrance of Fall and fresh cider and donuts at Paint Creek Cider Mill, and eating a Detroit Lafayette Coney Island when the mood hits me.

It's cool of you to stop by. And you know what's even better? Finding out what you have to say! Hit me up with a comment. Hang with me on Twitter (three accounts, you choose; @TheCaterHater, @CarloAtYourServ, or @CarloAtYourSer2). Or, connect with me using the FB gadget or G+ button on the sidebar. For real, I'd be honored if you'd click on either one. If you want to ask me anything or want to leave a comment, you know the drill; "Contact".

I like people. Especially, people who want the party truth. Talk to me.
